| The Plek system originated in Germany as a computer controlled alternative to traditional methods of manual fret dressing. The Plek machine measures and records fret height in relation to the fingerboard surrounding each string by using a mechanical "finger". | |

The machine then goes to work. It grinds down the frets with unbelieveable accuracy, producing a smooth action across the entire fretboard. |
